Our workspace, at Fearless Heart, is situated on the Haldimand Tract, 6 miles of land on either side of the Grand River. We acknowledge that we are guests on land that was promised, in perpetuity, to the Six Nations of the Grand River, territory that has been traditionally cared for by the Neutral, Anishinaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples. These lands are protected by the “Dish with One Spoon” Wampum Treaty.

For many thousands of years, the First People sought to walk gently on this land, offering their assistance, and sharing their knowledge, to the first european travelers. We honour the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge, laws, and philosophies of the Indigenous Peoples who continue to be the stewards of this land.We seek a new relationship with the Original Peoples of this land, one based in honour and deep respect.

Through our commitment to principals of equity, diversity and inclusion, we strive to create an inclusive, body-positive, LGBTQIA2S++ safe space in our workspace called Fearless Heart.

May we walk softly and be guided by love and right action.
