After practicing yoga for over 12 years, I finally built up the courage to sign up for the 200 hour teaching training in 2018, which has been the greatest decision I have made. I truly believe it was all about the right timing in my life.
I initially started practicing yoga to keep fit. I loved how it made me feel and allowed my body to move in different ways I had never moved before. I then started to use yoga as a way of dealing with the daily stresses in my life. At that point, I was introduced to restorative yoga and meditation as another tool to calm my racing mind. That is when I realized there was more yoga than just asana. I felt a change in me.
My yoga practice has allowed me to be more calm, centered, and compassionate. It has allowed me to recognize when my body is stressed or anxious and has given me tools to work with and help lift me up! Yoga has taught me that I can always come back to my breath at any given moment, be present and to love myself. This beautiful practice is about our breath and being able to move our bodies openly and freely, while connecting with our soul.
I'm excited to share my passion for yoga with others! My classes will have a mix of fun, flowing movement and restorative/relaxation.
