This module covers the physiological impacts of trauma and how to recognise them in our clients and then use cutting-edge best practices to support the healthy regulation of their (and our own) autonomic nervous system. This course includes theory as well as multiple opportunities to practice in pairs and small groups.
Lindsay combines her theoretical framework as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, specializing in neuro-behavioural interventions for individuals with trauma, with her functional anatomy training and decade of yoga teaching experience.

Functional Anatomy for Movement Teachers
This series of modules is for people who are already working as movement teachers. Based on the fundamentals of Tom Myer's Anatomy Trains principles, this series will take a deep dive into the ways our body expresses movement and form. Including an understanding of the superficial fascia, the basic movement lines in the body, muscle recruitment for functional movement, and posture and gait analysis. Take one section or take all three. Participants will also have the opportunity to study in a cadaver lab as a culminating experience.
DATES:
* Shoulders to the Pelvis (3 hours) $95+hst
Saturday March 14th 1-4pm
* From the Hips to the Toes. The Functions of the Lower Limbs (3 hours) $95+hst
Saturday March 21st 1-4pm
***Anatomy Lab (2 hours) $69+hst (Friday March 27th 5-7pm)
Combine all three (total credit hours: 8) for $245+hst
